We choose our locations based on photographic opportunities. The South Island is a place of unparalleled scenic variety! Only Norway could possibly compete. Snow-capped mountains, glaciers, lakes, rivers, fjords, fising villages, golden beaches, bucolic countryside, and English villages: you'll get to photograph it all. The names of the locations We'll visit ring with enchantment: Mount Cook, Tasman Glacier, Milford Sound, Westlands Park, Queenstown, Dunedin, Christchurch, Fox Glacier.
We'll meet in Christchurch on the South Island to decompress from jetlag before heading out to one of the most beautiful areas in New Zealand via Arthur's Pass in the Southern Alps. Our route will carry us past high mountains, lush rain forests, the reflections of Lake Matheson, the wonder of Fox Glacier, and the deep glacier lake of Wanaka. Enroute to one of New Zealand's foremost tourist destinations, Queenstown, We'll photograph the ruins of early gold fields. It is not without reason that Queenstown backs up to mountains called "the Remarkables"; it is situated in one of the most scenic settings in the world. From Queenstown, it's on to Fjordland National Park and Milford Sound, internationally known as one of the most beautiful fjords in the world. We'll take our time at Milford Sound as well as at Lake Gunn and its famous red beech forest.
