Exploring one of the most varied parks in the countrytree-lined rushing rivers, placid mountain lakes, lush rainforests dripping with moss, primitive beaches lined with driftwood formswe will have the opportunity to make color and black-and-white photographs of such variety and intense beauty that they will form a portfolio of their own. Joe Englander will lead you to Hurricane Ridge, Dungeness Spit, the Elwah River, Crescent Lake, Soleduc Falls, the Hoh Rainforest, Ruby Beach, Rialto Beach, Madison Falls, and much more. Our bases of operations will be Port Angeles and Forks on the Olympic Peninsula. The dates are chosen to allow us an opportunity to photograph the full moon rising over the bay.
This workshop begins in Port Angeles, which has a commuter airport via SeaTac International. Drive time from Seattle can be as long as six hours.
