This program is open to both film and digital photographers.
Centering around a July Fourth Celebration and Pow Wow, participants will learn techniques of street-photography, documentation, and travelogue (no, they are not the same!), and apply them during intense shooting sessions. Returning to the Formulary Campus, Joe will demonstrate and review processes for taking the images you have just made to final prints or electronic presentations such as Podcasts. He will also review participants’ portfolio prints while discussing methods of traditional and digital printing.
Participants will learn how their choice of media (analogue or digital, color or black and white), and developers (chemical or software) affect their images. Techniques and practices in print development (again, both chemical and software) will be explained and demonstrated to participants who will have hands-on-opportunities to put them into practice.
All participants must bring their own photographic equipment, media, and manuals. Digital photographers must bring their own laptop computer that has sufficient space available both for new images and demonstration software.
This class has a kit and/or a lab fee to be paid at the end of this workshop.
